Planning Your Visit

Planning on a visit to the Baltimore City Archives and Records Management Center? Review the following steps:

  1. Determine whether or not we have the records you want to view via Research at the Baltimore City Archives.
  2. Check our homepagefor hours of operation and scheduled closings; our About page has directions to the Archives.
  3. Please review our Policies and Fees and Charges Information
  4. Make a research appointment at least three days PRIOR to your visit.
  5. Submit a registration form prior to your visit, or you will have to fill one out upon arrival.
  6. Due to security policies in government agencies, you will need to present a photo ID when you arrive to complete registration.
  7. Please be aware that we cannot provide facilities for researchers to eat on site.
