Scheduled Closings
The Baltimore City Archives is generally open for public appointments:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 3pm
4th Wednesday of each month from 5pm-8pm
PLEASE NOTE: The City Archives (2615 Mathews St.) is temporarily closed to the public for renovations. It will reopen to the public with regular appointment hours on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
During this time, research assistance will still be provided by our archivists via email and phone.
In 2026, the following Wednesdays will be available for evening appointments:

In 2026, the City Archives will also be closed to the public on the following days:
