Scheduled Closings
The Baltimore City Archives is generally open for public appointments:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am - 3pm
4th Wednesday of each month from 5pm-8pm
PLEASE NOTE: The City Archives (2615 Mathews St.) will be closed to the public for renovations starting in late April 2026. The closure will last approximately two months. We will post specific closing and re-opening dates here and on our homepage when they have been confirmed.
During this time, research assistance will still be provided by our archivists
In 2026, the following Wednesdays will be available for evening appointments:

In 2026, the City Archives will also be closed to the public on the following days:
