74.

       other Use intent or Purpose whatsoever   And the said James Johnson for himself and for
       the said Margaret his Wife and for his and her Heirs Doth Covenant Promise Grant
       and Agree to and with the said Walter Ewer and John Ewer their heirs and Assigns that the the
       Said James Johnson and his heirs the said undivided fourth part or share of the said
       Messuages Tenements Lands Iron Works Negroes Hereditaments and Premises hereby
       Bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be and every Part and Parcel thereof with     
       all and Singular their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto the said Walter Ewer
       and John Ewer their Heirs and Assigns against him the said James Johnson and
       Margaret his Wife and his and their Heirs and against all and every other person and
       persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever defend by these Presents
       In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto sett their hands
       and seals the day and Year first above Written

             On the Back of the aforegoing Deed were the following Indorsements Viz

                   To all to whom these presents shall come the within named James Johnson
       and Margaret his Wife Send Greeting   Whereas the said James Johnson
       and Margaret his Wife have on the day of the date of these Presents Signed sealed and
       in due form of Law executed the within mentioned Deed or Indenture of Bargain
       and Sale   And for further perfecting thereof and making the same more Effectual
       and binding are desirous that the same may be registered according to the Laws of
       the Province of Maryland               Now know Ye that the said James Johnson
       and Margaret his Wife have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed And by these Presents
       Do make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Charles Grahame of Lower Marlbro in
       the said Province of Maryland Esquire Alexander Lawson of Baltimore in the said
       Province Esquire and Corbin Lee of Baltimore County in the said Province Esquire
       to be their true and lawfull Attorney and Attorneys jointly and severally for them the said
       James Johnson and Margaret his Wife and in their Name place and stead to acknowledge
       the said within mentioned Deed or Indenture of Bargain and Sale before such Person or Persons
       in Maryland aforesaid who are or shall be Authorized to receive the same and to Cause or
       procure the said Deed or Indenture to be registered in all or any Court or Courts Place or
       Places in Maryland aforesaid according to the Laws and Customs of the said County
