696.

       On the twenty Sixth day of October Seventeen hundred and sixty
       five Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships
       Justices of the Provincial Court John Hammond and Ann
       his Wife Parties to the within Deed and did Acknowledge
       the same to be their Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses
       therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the said Benjamin
       Talbott his heirs and Assigns According to the true Intent
       and meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in
       such Case made and Provided

          Received the 28.th October 1765 of Benjamin ^and Sarah^ Talbott Seven
       Shillings and one penny half penny Sterling for the use
       of Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within
       Land and by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r
       his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Examined
       This Indenture made the thirteenth day of September in the
       Year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred and Sixty five Between
       Benjamin Talbott and Sarah his Wife of Ann Arundel County
       in the Province of Maryland of the one Part and John Hammond of
       the County and Province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth
       That the said Benjamin Talbot and Sarah his Wife for and in
       Consideration of the Sum of Eighty pounds Current Money of Maryland
       to them in hand paid at or before the Sealing and delivery
       of these Presents the receipt whereof they doth hereby Acknowledge
       and thereof and therefrom doth hereby release Acquit and
       discharge the said John Hammond his heirs Executors and Administrators
       Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed
       and Confirmed and by these Presents doth Grant Bargain Sell
       Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John Hammond his
       and Assigns all that Tract or parcell of Land lying and being in
       Frederick County on Linganore in the province aforesaid Taken
       out of the Second Division of a Tract of Land called Gaithers Chance
       Beginning of ^at^ the End of the Seventh Line of the said Gaithers
       Chance and runing thence South Sixty degrees west forty four
