Augs.t 7.th 1765 Reced of the within named Ephraim King the sum of Five shillings Current Money being the Consideration Money within Mentioned Test 5 sides John Swain P me Mathew Kemp Recorded 20.th Sept.r 1765 Exam.d This Indenture ^Tripartite^ made the Eighth day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five Between Mathew Kemp of Somerset County planter of the first part Ephraim King of said County Gentleman of the second part and John Murray of Somerset County Attorney of the third part Witnesseth that for the docking bearring and extinguishing of all Estates Tail of and in the Lands Tenements and other the Hereditaments herein after mentioned with their Appurtenances and all Reversions and Remainders thereupon expectant or depending and for settling the said Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their Appurtenances to for and upon the uses Intents and purposes herein after particularly expressed and declared and for and in consideration of four hundred pounds Current Money of Maryland to the said Mathew Kemp in Hand paid by the said Ephraim King at or before the Sealing and delivery of of these presents the Receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged and for other good Causes and Considerations hereunto moving he the ^same^ said Mathew Kemp (by and with the Advise and Consent of the said John Murray testified by his being Party to and his sealing and executing these presents) Hath granted bargained and sold aliened remised released enffeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien remise release enfeoff and confirm unto the said Ephraim King (in his Actual Possession now being by virtue of a Bargain and sale to him thereof made by the said Mathew Kemp by Indenture bearing date the day next before the Day of the Date of these presents for one whole year commencing from the day next before the day of the Date thereof and by force of the Statute for transferring uses into Possession) his Heirs and Assigns all that part of a Tract or parcell of Land called and known by the Name of Gethshemane situate lying and being in Somerset County af.d beginning at the first Bounder of the original Tract af.d called Gethshemane af.d Running thence East One hundred and twenty seven perches thence North East five hundred and thirty three perches and one third of a Perch thence West One hundred and twenty seven Perches thence with a Right Line to the first Beginning containing and laid out for three hundred Acres of Land together with all the Houses Edifices Buildings Improvements Ways Waters Water Courses Orchards Woods Underwoods Priviledges Commodities Advantages and Appurtenances to the same Appertaining or in any manner belonging and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits of all and singular the same Premisses and every part and parcell thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances and also all the Estate Right Title Interest Use and demand of him the said Mathew Kemp of into or out (of) |
