647. her Acknowledgement of the same Willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or ill Usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand the Day and year above written 5 3/4 sides John Brice Recorded 20.th Sept.r 1765 Ex.d This Indenture made this seventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty five Between Mathew Kemp of Somerset County planter of the one part and Ephraim King of said County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of five Shillings Current Money of Maryland to the said Mathew Kemp in Hand at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said Ephraim well and truly paid the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged he the said Mathew hath bargained and Sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Ephraim King his Executors Administrators and Assigns all that part of a Tract or parcell of Land called and known by the Name of Gethshemane scituate lying and being in Somerset County afs.d beginning at the first Bounder of the original Tract afs.d called Gethshemane afs.d running thence East one hundred and twenty seven perches thence North East five hundred and thirty three Perches and one third of a perch thence West One hundred and twenty seven perches then with a right Line to the first Beginning containing and laid out for three hundred Acres of Land together with all Houses Edifices Buildings Improvements Ways Waters Water Courses Orchards Woods Underwoods Priviledges Commodities Advantages and Appurtenances to the same Appurtaining or in any wise belonging and the reversion and reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits of all and singular the said Premisses and every part and Parcell thereof with their and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances To Have and to Hold the said part of the said Tract or Parcell of Land and all and singular the said Premisses herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and Sold with their and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances unto the same Ephraim King his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the day of the date of these Presents for and during the Term of one whole year from thence next ensuing fully to be compleat and ended To the Intent and purpose that by virtue of these presents and of the Statute for transferring uses into Possession the said Ephraim King may be in the actual possession of all and singular the said hereby bargained premisses with their Appurtenances and may thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant or Release of the reversion and Inheritance thereof to him and his heirs in such manner and for such Uses Intents and Purposes as the said Matthew Kemp doth intend to grant or release the same by Indenture intended to bear date the day next after the Day of the date of these presents In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Affixed their seals the day and year first above written Sealed & Delivered in presence of Mathew Kemp seal Jos Collins On the Back of the Aforegoing John Swain Deed was thus written viz Aug.t |
