617) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Philadelphia to wit Know all Men by these presents that I John Sayre the Grantor within mentioned have constituted and Appointed and in my place and stead put John Stephenson of Baltimore Surgeon and William Smith of the same place merchant my Attorney and Attorneys either jointly or severally to acknowledge for me and in my name the within deed and the Premisses therein mentioned to the within named Samuel Purviance according to the form and effect of the same deed Witness my hand and seal this Fifth day of February Anno Domini 1765 sealed and delivered In presence of John Sayre Ju.r Seal John Harris Benja.n Allison Maryland Baltimore County to wit Be it remembered that upon the third day of July Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and sixty five John Harris one of the subscribing witnesses to the above power personally appeared before us the subscribers two of the right honourable the Lord proprietary of Maryland his Justices of the Peace for Baltimore County afs.d and made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that he was present at the Execution of the above power and saw the above named John Sayre sign seal & and deliver the same in the presence of the deponant and Benjamin Alison the other Subscribing Witness to the same Power And that the said Benjamin Alison and the Deponant did both subscribe their Names as Witnesses to the Execution of the same Power sworn the day and year above written before us NRuxton Gay Benja.n Rogers Maryland Baltimore County to wit Be it remembred That upon the Third day of July Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and sixty five John Stephenson one of the (Attorneys) |
