528 Dick by a Certain penal Bill or writing Obligatory bearing date the Twenty Ninth day of September seventeen hundred and sixty four the sum of Five hundred and thirty seven pounds thirteen shillings sterling to be paid to the said James Dick his Executors Administrators or Assigns on the day of next ensuing with legal Interest for the same to which payment well and truly to be made and done the said William Brown hath bound himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators in the penal sums of One thousand and Seventy five pounds six shillings sterling firmly by the said Penal Bill or writing Obligatory and whereas the above said sum of Five hundred and thirty seven pounds thirteen shillings sterling with the Interest thereon and every part thereof still remain due and unpaid Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said William Brown for and in Consideration of the above Premises and also for and in Consideration of the sum of Five shillings sterling to him in hand paid by the said James Dick at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath Granted bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents for himself and his Heirs Doth Grant Bargain sell alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said James Dick his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Lott peice or parcell of Land lying in London Town in Ann Arundel County aforesaid on which the said William Brown hath built a large Brick House and other Improvements the said Lott being Numbered or Called in the Plat of said Town Number Eighty seven or whatever other Number it may be also all that Lott N.o Seventy four and an Angle of Land or bank lot (without Number) thereto adjoining both these Lotts being Contiguous and Adjoining to Lott Number Eighty seven with all and every Buildings Edifices advantages Improvements and appurtenances Reversion & Reversions Rents issues and proffits thereof and every part thereof and also all the Estate Right Title Interest use Trust Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said William Brown of into or out of the Premisses and every parts thereof and also all the Negroes following that is to say one Negroe Man called Jem one called Harry one Boy about Ten years of Age called Jacob one Girl called Bett with her Increase with all my Household Furniture of every Kind and denomination whatever either at the House where I now live or at the two old Rooms or new Brick House above mentioned with all my Stock of Horses and Cattle either at my Plantation on South River or Dwelling House in London Town To have and to hold the abovesaid Lott peice or parcell of Land together with the several appurtenances hereby bargained and sold or meant mentioned or Intended to be sold unto him the said James Dick his Heirs or Assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said James Dick his Heirs and Assigns for ever And also to have and to hold the abovementioned Negroes Jem Harry Jacob and Bett with her Increase and also all the Houshold Furniture stock of Horses and Cattle both at the Plantation and dwelling house in London Town as abovementioned unto him the said James Dick his Heirs or Assigns to his and their only use and behoof Provided always and these presents are upon this Condition that if the said William Brown his Heirs or Executors doe and shall well and truely pay or Cause to be |
