       these Presents doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien enfeoff and Confirm unto him the
       aforesaid Elijah Owings his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Tract or Parcell of
       Land called the Lucky Adventure lying in Baltimore County on the West side of Gwins
       Falls Begining at three bounded White Oaks Standing in a Glade which Descends
       into Scutts Levell Branch referrence being had to Certificate and Record may more
       fully Appear which said Tract of Land was Originally Granted and Daniel Rawlings
       for the Quantity of Two hundred and fifty Acres of Land more or Less
       To have and to hold the aforesaid Land and Premises unto him the aforesaid
       Elijah Owings his Heirs and Assigns forever to his and their own Proper
       use and behoof and the said Samuel Howard for himself his Heirs Executors
       and Administrators Doth Promise Grant and Agree that he the said Elijah
       Owings his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns shall and may forever
       hereafter have Hold Occupy Possess and enjoy the aforesaid Land and Premises
       without the Least Suit Hinderance or Denial of him the said Samuel
       Howard or his Heirs free and Clear of all Incumbrances whatever except what part
       elder Surveys may taken and the said Samuel Howard for himself ^and^ his Heirs Covenanting
       agrees to and with the said Elijah Owings to Warrant and Defend the said
       Land and Premises to him to him the said Elijah Owings his Heirs and Assigns
       forever In Witness whereof the said Samuel Howard hath hereunto set his hand
       and Seal the day and Year above Written

       the Presents of
                   Benj.a Beall                        On the back of the aforegoing Deed was
                         Phil Rich.d Fran.s Lee   thus Written Viz.t

       Received this 13.th day of January One thousand seven hundred and Sixty five
       of M.r Elijah Owings the full and Just sum of Fifty Pounds Sterling Money
       of Great Britain being the Consideration Money for the within mentioned
       Lands and Premises                                          Samuel Howard
