382 said William Woodward and Mary Holmes are the only Surviving Children of the said Mary Woodward Deceased and the said William Woodward is the Heir at Law as well of the said Elizabeth Gin deceased ^as of the said Mary Woodward Deceased^ & Whereas ^also^ the said Elizabeth Gin did not at any time during her lifetime dispose or make Sale of the said Tracts of Parcells of Land called the Land of Goshen & Cannons Delight or either of them or of any Part of them or either of them And Whereas the aforesaid Mary Holmes by Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney bearing date on the Twenty fourth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty six among other things did make ordain Constitute and Appoint the said William Woodward by the name or Designation of M.r William Woodward of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Gentleman her true and lawfull Attorney giving and thereby Granting unto her said Attorney full Power and lawfull Authority for her the said Constituent and in her name to Grant bargain sell Assign enfeoff release convey and confirm unto such Person or Persons and for such Price and Consideration and upon such Terms and Conditions as her said Attorney should think Proper all and every part and Share whatsoever of her the said Constituent of and in any Lands Plantations Tenements and Hereditaments in the Province of Maryland in America to receive the Price and Profitt arising from such Sale and to Give unto the Purchaser and Purchasers of the same one or more Acquittances or other Sufficient Discharges for the same & for the Purposes aforesaid for the said Constituent & in her name to make do sign Seal and Deliver one or more Conveyance or Conveyances & other Acts & Writings as shall be requisite and Necessary and Generally in and concerning the Premisses to do Perform & execute all and whatsoever shall be requisite & Necessary in as full and ample manner to all Intents Constructions & Purposes as She the said Constituent might or could do if She was Personally |
