383 Personally Present which said Instrument of Procuration or Letter of Attorney was duly Acknowledged by the said Mary Holmes at London & before the said Acknowledgment was in due form Attested by Abraham Ogier Notary Publick as by the said Instrument and Procuration or Letter of Attorney in due form of Law Proved & Recorded among the Records of the Provincial Court of this Province of Maryland referrence being thereunto had may more fully and at large Appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the aforesaid William Woodward and Mary Holmes for and in Consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty nine Pounds Sterling to them in hand Paid by the aforesaid Benjamin Tasker Charles Carroll Charles Carroll Barrister at Law Daniel Dulany Walter Dulany and Charles Carroll the Younger at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof the said William William Woodward & Mary Holmes do hereby Acknowledge and for other ^divers^ Good Causes and Considerations them the said William Woodward & Mary Holmes have Granted Bargained and Sold Aliened enfeoffed released and Confirmed by these Presents do Grant Bargain Sell alien enfeoff release and Confirm unto the said Benjamin Tasker Charles Carroll Charles Carroll Barrister at Law Daniel Dulany Walter Dulany & Charles Carroll the Younger (in their Actual Possession now being by virtue of a Bargain and Sale to them thereof made for one Year by Indenture bearing date the day next before the date of these Presents & by Force and Operation of the Statute for Transferring uses into Possession) and to their Heirs & Assigns forever all those two Tracts or Parcells of Land Scituate lying & being with the Appurtenances in Baltimore County called or known by the names following (that is to say) the one of them called or known by the name of the Land called ^of^ Goshen & the other of them called or known by the name of Cannons Delight together with all the Rights Members & Appurtenances & all Houses Edifices Buildings Meadows Trees Woods Underwoods Ways Paths Waters Watercourses Edifices Easements Profitts Commodities Improvements Advantages Emoluments and Hereditaments comprehended within |
