166. given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed & Confirmed unto him the said Charles Ridgely Junior his heirs and Assigns all the Right Title & Claim of Dower unto a certain Tract or parcel of Land called Bite the Biter which Land was bequeathed to Samuel Gaither by his father Benjamin Gaither And the said Ann Gaither for herself doth hereby Covenant & agree that the aforesaid Charles Ridgely Jun.r his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns shall for ever hereafter ^have^ hold occupy Possess & enjoy all her right of Dower unto the aforesaid Land without the least henderance suit or denial of her the Said Ann Gaither & the said Ann Gaither Doth hereby Covenant & Agree to Warrant & forever Defend the Said Land being her right of Dower unto the said Charles Ridgely Junior his heirs & Assigns from all Persons Claiming any right under the said Ann Gaither In Witness whereof the said Ann Gaither hath hereunto set her hand & seal the day & Year above written her Sealed & Delivered in the Ann u Gaither s precense of Philip Rich.d Frans.s Lee Baruch Williams On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz Memorandum on the 16.th day of November then came Ann Gaither before us Two of his Lordships Justices for Ann Arundel County and Acknowledged all her Right of Dower to the within mentioned Land to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Charles Ridgley Jun.r his heirs & assigns according to the true Consideration for the within Mentioned Land & Premises Witness her Phil Rich.d Francis Lee Ann u Gaither P Recorded the 23.d November 1763 |
