167. This Indenture made the Twenty Ninth day of October Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and Sixty three Between Eleanor Carroll of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Spinster of the one Part and David Crawford of the County of Philadelphia Farmer of the other Part Whereas the Right Honble Frederick Lord Baltimore Propry of the said province of Maryland by his Letters Patent bearing date the 18.th May of April Anno 1759 for the Considerations therein mentioned did grant unto Mary Earle wife of Michael Earle Juliana Tilg^h^man wife of Edward Tilghman Ana Statia Pearce Wife of Henry Ward Pearce and the aforesaid Eleanor Carroll a certain Tract or parcel of Land lying formerly in Prince Georges County but since the division of that County being in Frederick County called and known by the Name of the five Daughters containing fifteen hundred Acres which said Edward Tilghman and Juliana his Wife Michael Earle and Mary his Wife Henry Ward Pearce and Anna Statia his Wife and Eleanor Carroll with intent that partition of the same Land should be made between them did Convey the same to a certain Richard Tilghman Earle And the said Richard Tilghman Earle by Deed of Bargain and sale duly Acknowledged and enrolled in the Records of the Provincial ^Court^ of Maryland bearing date the 13th day of May Anno Dom 1761 did convey unto the said Eleanor Carroll and her heirs and Assigns for ever all that Part of the Said Tract of land which is contained within the following Lines and Boundaries Beginning at the end of One hundred and Sixty seven Perches on the fourth Line of the Original Tract called Pork Hall of which the Said Tract called the five Daughters is a part and running from thence North Eighteen Degrees ^East^ One hundred and Twenty Seven Perches then North twenty two Degrees and one half of a degree West forty Perches then North Twenty Eight degrees West three hundred and forty Perches then North sixty two degrees East fifty Nine Perches then South Seventy six degrees East forty eight Perches then South Twenty Eight degrees East three hundred and Twenty Eight Perches then North Sixty two degrees East ninety six perches then East six perches then south Thirty degrees East Twenty Perches then by a South forty eight degrees Degrees West Line three hundred & two Perches to the place of beginning Containing two hundred and Ninety four Acres more or less Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Eleanor Carroll for and in |
