145. 1763 October 24th Received of M.r Edward Norwood four Shillings Sterling for the Use of the Lord Baltimore being the Alienation Fine on the within One hundred Acres of Land by Virtue of a Commission from Edward Loyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & receiver General Benj.a Beall Recorded the 24th day of October 1763 10 s.d Ex.d This Indenture made the thirteenth day of April in the Second Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the third and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty two Between John Younger of White haven in the County of Cumberland and Kingdom of England Merchant and Gabriel Griffith of the Same Place Merchant (the now Surviving assignees of the Commissioners Appointed and acting in and under a Commission of Bankruptcy Awarded and Issued against Robert Gilpin late of White haven aforesaid Merchant Richard Gilpin Sawrey Esquire one other of the Assignees of the Comissioners so appointed and acting under the said Commission being some time since dead) of the one Part and John Caile of the Province of Maryland in America Gentleman and Elizabeth Caile of the same place Widow of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Younger and Gabriel Griffith for and in Consideration of the sum of Five Shillings of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Britain to them in hand well and truly paid by the said John Caile and Elizabeth Caile at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Have granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Do (as assignees aforesaid) Bargain and sell unto them the said John Caile and Elizabeth Caile their Executors Administrators and Assigns All that Tract or Parcel of Ground called & Known by the Name of Berrys Point situate lying and being in Dorchester County in the Province of Maryland aforesaid Beginning at a bounded Beech heretofore marked on four sides with three Notches on each side standing by or near a spring on the south side of Great Choptank River at a place called or Commonly known by the Name of Fosters Point opposite to the Mouth of a Creek Called ^and known^ by the Name of Tuckahoe Creek on |
