144. and the Said Robinson Wakefield and Ann Wakefield hs Wife for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators do Covenant grant and agree that M.r Charles Ridgely Jun.r of Maryland Maryner John Ridgely and William Buchanan of Baltimore County Jointly and severally who are hereby Lawfully impowered shall acknowledge for us and in our Names as our Lawfull Attorneys this Present Indenture we having Constituted them the Said Charles Ridgely Junior John Ridgely and William Buchanan our Lawful and Absolute Attorneys To Acknowledge this Instrument of Writing In Witness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands and seals the day and Year above Written Robinson Wakefield s Ann Wakefield s Sealed and Delivered (being first duly Stampt) in the Presence of The Words John Ridgely and William Buchanan of Baltimore County Jointly & Severally (John Ridgely and William Buchanan) were Inserted before the Execution of this Deed Tho.s Heslop Tho.s Terry L S Annexed at the Time of Swearing Th.s Cawling Mayor of Richmond in the County of York On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz On the tenth day of October 1763 Came M.r Charles Ridgely Jun.r before Us the Subscribers two Justices of the Peace for Baltimore County and by Virtue of the Power of Attorney hereunto annexed Acknowledged the within Bargained Tract or Parcel of Land with the Premises and Appurtenances to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Edward Norwood his heirs & Assigns forever According to the true Intent & Meaning of the within Deed and the annexed Power of Attorney as Witness our Hands Ruxton Gay Benjamin Rogers 1763 |
