(education), 1967; Western Maryland College, M.A. (school administration). Former teacher. Former principal, Washington County Public Schools (Keedysville Elementary, Pleasant Valley Elementary). Principal, Salem Avenue Elementary School, Hagerstown, 1983-99 (school received blue ribbon award of excellence, 1998). Executive Director, Leadership Hagerstown, 1999-2003. President, Washington County Teachers' Association, 1973 (vice-president, 1972). Member, Maryland State Teachers Association. Former hunting guide, Woodmont Rod and Gun Club. Life member, Sigma Chi Fraternity. Member, Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport, Maryland. Married; one child, one grandchild. Died in Hagerstown, Maryland, March 31, 2017.
