Member, Howard County Bar Association (board of directors, 2011-). Social studies teacher, Kenwood High School and Dulaney High School, Baltimore County, 1967-71. Adjunct faculty, University of Maryland School of Law, 1988-90. State's Attorneys' Coordinator for Maryland, 1988-99, and President, 2011-13, Maryland State's Attorneys' Association (board of directors; legislative committee; training committee; vice-president, legislation, 2015-). President, Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Company. Past treasurer, St. John's Community Association. Widower; two children, four grandchildren.
