In December 2025, the Energy Subcabinet was created by the Governor (Executive Order 01.01.2025.27).

Meeting quarterly, the Subcabinet coordinates interagency energy policy and oversees the implementation of "Building an Affordable and Reliable Energy Future" (Executive Order 01.01.2025.27). It seeks to align State resources and ensure that energy policy decisions support the State's energy affordability, reliability, economic competitiveness, and environmental goals.
