59 Rental value thereof we hear with submit to you below the preceedings The Home farm containing 265 acres 100 which is a detached track of wood land leaving 165 acres with the buildings. The Farm is devided into 5 fields with 30 and 35 acres each with a lot devided by Creek known as the school house lot a bout 18 or 20 acres a small Peach and Apple orchard The farm is under good fencing and the appraisers think that it should be tilled two fields in corn and two fields in wheat ^for three years to come in rotation of^ the land the filthy and can stand the cultene we would sugest that each year 1000 bush of stone lime should be put on the stable as soon after harvest as possible with the 100 acres of wood land There is a is a small lot of cleard land to be tilled with the farm and should be tilled with the farm and should be tilled two years in corn and then in wheat The Dwelling house on this farm is 20 feet wide by 30 feet long with porch 8 by 9 also back portico 30 by 9 seller under the house hall and parlor 2 chambers garret not finished in good order old part of the house 24 by 20 with one room down two up stairs pantry and kitching under the same roof 33 by 20 stairs for senents above the kitching in tolerable order meat house 12 by 10 in for repair 2 Poultry houses one pole and the other log 10 by 12 in bad order Barn 60 by 30 with stable on one side and corn shed on the other side a feed room 12 stalls in stable 2 corn cribs in barn with cow shed detached from barn 15 by 4 with loft Barn in side well arranged and ample room for all grain pump in good order in good order 1 grainery with loft 32 by 20 shed carriage house in bad order tenants house in 2 story 16 by 18 with shed 12 by 16 And we ^the appraiser put the rental value as^ follows $75000 for the year 1869 two fields in corn from main road by the side of the farm owned wood by R W Jones and William Thomas to the creek with the balence of corn field and school house lot to go in oats and the farm corn field and school house lot to grow oats and then farm to be tiled in rotation one field back in corn & one stable in wheat he would also sugest that the tenant should habe one field well in grass as he finds the farm in grass for the said rent For the year 1870 and 1871 $1200 |
