forty years of age five feet and one inch high or thereabouts of black
Complexion was born and raised in Caroline County & has a scar on
her forehead & one other on the inside of the right thumb and has
no other marks or Scars that I have observed
(seal)   In Testimony whereof I hereunto Subscribe my name and
           affix the Seal of the Circuit Court for Caroline County
this 25th day of September Anno Domini Eighteen Hundred
and Sixty

State of Maryland Caroline County to wit:  Whereas Elizabeth
Boston hath made application to me for a Certificate of
her freedom agreeably to law:  And whereas on the Oath of Tilghman
Nuttle hath been proven that said Elizabeth Boston was free born
I do therefore grant this Certificate.  She is now about forty Six
Years of age five feet four and one half inches high or thereabout of
a Mulatto Complexion was born and raised in Caroline County
and has a scar on the left arm just above the elbow and has
no other marks or scars that I have observed.  In Testimony
             whereof I hereunto Subscribe my name and affix the Seal of
{Seal}   the Circuit Court for Caroline County this Fifth
             day of October Anno Domini Eighteen Hundred and Sixty
