Mortgage this day paid fifty cents being the duty chargeable by Law
on this Instrument of writing the receipt whereof is herein endorsed
agreeably to the act of assembly of December session 1846 chapter
61   Given under my hand this 12th of June 1850

 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
Know all Men by these presents that I James
Errickson of the County and State aforesaid
for and in consideration of the sum of two
hundred and twenty five dollars current money to me in hand
paid by Rachel Ann Errickson my wife the said two hundred
and twenty five dollars being her distributive share of the sale
of the real Estate of Sophia Carr the mother of the said Rachel
Ann Errickson of the County and state aforesaid at and before the
Sealing and delivering hereof the recept whereof I do hereby acknowledge
have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
bargain and sell unto the said Rachel Ann Errickson her executors
administrators and assigns the following property one Black man
one sorrel Horse one Yoke oxen ten head hogs two feather
Beds and furniture the above Property is Mortgaged as an Indemnity
to secure the payment of the above sum of money mentioned it
being lent to me the said James Errickson by the said Rachel Ann
Errickson her executors and administrators and assigns the
said described property and against all persons whomsoever
claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof   In testimony
whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this twenty fifth
day of June in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty

On this twenty fifth day of June in the year Eighteen hundred
and fifty appeared Before us Justice of the peace in and for
Anne Arundel County James Errickson and acknowledges
the above to be his act and deed according to the true
intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such
case made and provided
