and be utterly void to all intents and purposes any thing herein contained
to the contrary notwithstanding and the said William H Peake for himself
his heirs executors and administrators and for every of them doth covenant
promise and agree to and with the said Joseph Busey his executors administrators
and assigns by these presents that he the said William H Peake
with Interest for the same after the rates aforesaid and at such time and
after such manner as herein before set forth and agreed for the payment
thereof and the said William H Peake his executors and administrators
all and singular the said described negroes by these presents granted
bargained and sold and every part thereof unto the said Joseph Busey
his executors administrators and assigns against him the said William
H Peake his executors and administrators and against all and every
other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend
by these presents         In testimony whereof the said William H Peake
hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal the day
and year first above written

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit   Be it remembered
and it is hereby certified that on this Eighth day of June in the year of
our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty personally appears Before
the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the County aforesaid
William H Peake he being known to me to be the person who is named
and described as and professing to be the party grantor in the foregoing
Deed or Indenture and acknowledges the same to be his act and
deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and at the
same time and place also appeared Before Joseph Busey party
grantee in the said Indenture and made Oath that the Consideration
set forth in the said Mortgage or Indenture is true and Bona
fide as therein set forth, Taken and acknowledged Before
the words Five hundred on the 1st page being first stricken
out and the words "one thousand" inserted and the word "one"
on the second page likewise first stricken out and the word
"two" inserted and the words five hundred in the second line &
16th line of the 2nd page also stricken out and the Words "one
thousand inserted in their stead
