grant bargain and sell unto the said William S McPherson his executors administrators
and assigns four head of horses seven head of cows ten head of sheep two yoke of oxen
one cart the crop of corn now growing on the farm of the said William S. McPherson
now in the possession of the said John G Nichols   To Have and to Hold the said above
property above mentioned bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said
William S. McPherson his executors administrators and assigns forever; of all which and
singular which said property I the said John G Nichols have put the said William S.
McPherson in full possession by delivering to him the said William S McPherson one
horse at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto him the said William S McPherson as aforesaid
    In Witness whereof the said John G Nichols hath hereto set his hand and seal this 19.th day
of September 1849

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit   On this 19th day of September 1849 before the
subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County
personally appeared John G. Nichols and acknowledged the foregoing instrument to be his act
and deed               Acknowledged before                  J. W. Hunter

State of Maryland City of Baltimore to wit   On this 21st day of September 1849 before the subscriber
a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for said City personally
William S. McPherson the party grantee in the foregoing instrument of writing and made
oath that the consideration set forth in said Bill of Sale or instrument of writing is
true and bonafide as therein set forth                              John J. Snyder

State of Maryland Baltimore County sct.   I hereby certify that John J. Snyder Esquire
before whom the annexed affidavit was made and who has thereto subscribed his name
was at the time of so doing a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for
the city of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn         In Testimony whereof I hereto
(Seal's)   set my hand and affix the seal of Baltimore City Court this 22.d day of September

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit   I hereby certify that Wm S. McPherson
has this day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by law on this instrument of
writing the receipt whereof is herein endorsed agreeably to the Act of Assembly of
December session 1846 chapter 61         Given under my hand this 25th day of September 1849
