in consideration of the sum of five dollars current money to them in
hand paid by the said Rachel Tydings at or before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said John D Meekins
William A. Bryan Thomas Denver and Daniel Stephen Carnes do
hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom do acquit release
exonerate and forever discharge the said Rachel Tydings her Executors
administrators and every of them by these presents have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
unto the said Rachel Tydings her heirs Executors administrators
and assigns one schooner called the Drum Seal which has one
deck and two wastes and is fifty three feet in length sixteen feet
six inches in breadth five feet in depth and measures thirty
seven laces and sixty ninety fifth parts of a foot and that
she has square sterrins gallery and no figure head.  To Have
and to Hold all and singular the said schooner called the
Drum Seal herein before granted bargained and sold or mentioned
and intended so to be unto the said Rachel Tydings her heirs
Executors administrators and assigns forever.  Provided always
and these presents are upon the condition that if the said
John D. Meekins William A. Bryan Thomas Denver and Daniel
Stephen Carnes their Executors or administrators shall and do
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Rachel
Tydings her Executors administrators or assigns the said sum
of six hundred and fifty dollars current money with legal
interest thereon and for which the said John D Meekins
William A. Bryan Thomas Denver and Daniel Stephen Carnes
have passed their notes payable in the following manner
to wit two hundred and fifty dollars on the first day of
October next two hundred dollars on the first day of
August in the year eighteen hundred and forty six
and two hundred dollars on the first day of June eighteen
hundred and forty seven with legal interest thereon then and
in such case these presents and every matter and thing therein
contained shall cease and determine and be utterly void to all
intents and purposes any thing herein contained to the contrary
notwithstanding.  In Witness whereof the said John
D Meekins William A Bryan Thomas Denver and Daniel
Stephen Carnes have hereunto set their names and affixed their
seals on the day and year first herein before written
