308 in the City of Annapolis that is to say all the household and kitchen furniture consisting among other things of Beds and their furniture table and other linen chairs sofas tables sideboards bureaus washstands wardrobes mirrors carpets curtains and their fixtures stoves lamps candlelabra china glass knives and forks and other hardware books and book cases silver ware consisting of waiters salt cellars and tumblers and all the cooking utensils in the kitchen of the said house Tho Have and to Hold the said goods and chattels above described and hereby granted bargained and sold or intended so to be unto the said Alexander Randall his executors administrators and assigns forever. In Trust nevertheless to sell and dispose of all or any of the said property at public or private sale for each or on credit as he the said Alexander Randall may prefer and apply the proceeds thereof to indemnify him the said Randall for any loss or damage he may have sustained by reason of the suretyship as aforesaid or which he may be about to sustain by reason thereof And in further trust as to the whole of the said property (in case the said Randall should be indemnified and held harmless and should not find the sale of the said property necessary) or as to the residue thereof after the satisfaction of the said Randall out of the said property in case the sale thereof should be necessary to save him harmless to apply the same or hold it for the use and benefit of the wife and children if the said Joseph H Nicholson In Testimony whereof the said Joseph H Nicholson hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first herein before written Signed sealed and delivered in Jos H Nicholson (seal) presence of J W Hunter State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sct. Be it remembered that on this thirtieth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight before the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for the County of Anne Arundel County personally appeared Joseph H Nicholson the party grantor in the foregoing deed or instrument of writing and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned And at the same time and place also appeared before me Alexander Randall the party grantee in the aforegoing deed or instrument of writing and made oath that the consideration set forth in the said deed or instrument of writing is true and bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged and sworn before J W Hunter Recorded on the 30th day of October 1848 ex. & del.d to Alexander Randall Oct 24th 1850
