Andrew J. Phelps administrator of James Phelps and acknowledges the above
Instrument of writing to be his act and deed, according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and at the same time appears Charles Smith the donee
named in the foregoing bill of sale and made oath in due form of law that
the consideration set forth said bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein
set forth                           Sworn before

Know all men by these presents that I William
Drury of Hy of Anne Arundel County in the state
of Maryland for and In consideration of the sum of
Eleven Dollars and fifty cents to me In hand paid
by Jno. H. Drury of Hy of the County and State above mentioned at and before the
sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt wereof I the said William
Drury of Hy do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do hereby grant bargain, and sell unto the said John H. Drury of
Hy his executors, administrators, and assigns one bay Horse called Harriet on
or about seven years old To Have and to hold the same forever Provided that I
the said William Drury of H do not within six Months from this date hereof
refund back to the said John H. Drury of Hy the above named sum of Eleven
dollars and fifty cents
    In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this
seventh day of June in the year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred and forty

In the presence of
Joseph Chaney J. P.

And at the same time and place appeared before me the subscriber a
justice of the peace John H. Drury of Hy Mortger in the above instrument
or bill of sale and made Oath that the consideration set forth in the
said bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth
