270. against me the said Rhitilla Burke my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day of April eighteen hundred & forty Eight Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of H. R. Robbins Ann E. Burke Rhetillah Burke (Seal) State of Maryland Baltimore City S. S. Be it remembered, That on this Twelth day of April 1848 before the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said City appears Rhetillah Burke and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be her act and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before H. R. Robbins N. B. the Interlined words between the 13 & 14 lines (words then to go free and word Ten) also between 14 & 15 lines (words on the fifteenth of June last (also between 17 & 18 (words fourteenth of November ad 1848 and all her increase were all inserted previous to the acknowledgement hereof and the words in the 12 line altered (words thirty four also in the 13 line (forty four, also in 16 line (word five, in the 18th line (word Eight, in 19 line (word five) in the 21 line (word five) even altered in the Presence of and at the request of the Parties 9th May 1848 H. R. Robbins State of Maryland Baltimore City to wit On this 12.th day of April 1848 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the state of Maryland in and for the City aforesaid Personally appears Miss Ann E. Burke and made Oath on the holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration money mentioned in the within bill of sale has been bona fide Paid Sworn before H. R. Robbins State of Maryland Baltimore County Sc.t I hereby Certify That Henry R. Robbins Esquire before whom the annexed acknowledgement and affidavit was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn In Testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of Baltimore County (Seal) Court, this 13.th day of April A.
