of the sum of ten cents current money to me in hand paid by the said John Randall of the said state and County at and before the receipt and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I the said James Peterson do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Randall his executors administrators or assigns, all the right title and interest of me the said James Peterson of in and to the Cart, gearing and the fixtures, herein mentioned with all my right title and interest of in and to the mare owned in part by me both the Cart gearing and mare being now in the possession of Anthony Belt colored man who is also part owner thereof with me the said James Peterson To Have and To Hold the said right title and interest of me the said James Peterson of in and to the said above described property, to the said John Randall, his Executors, Administrators and assigns forever. And I the said James Peterson, for my self my heirs, Executors and administrators, the said Cart, horse and gearing so far as I have any claim, right or title to them or to any part thereof, to the said John Randall his Executors and administrators against me and my Executors and administrators, and against every other person shall and will forever warrent and defend by these presents In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this twenty second day of April eighteen hundred and forty Eight Signed Sealed and delivered his In presence of James x Peterson (Seal) J. Hunter mark State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc.t Be it remembered that on this twenty second day of April Eighteen hundred and forty Eight, before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State and County aforesaid, personally appeared James Peterson, colored party Grantor in the following Bill of Sale, and acknowledged the same to be his Act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. And I do certify that at the same time appeared John Randall, Grantee, in the said Bill of Sale named, before me Justice as aforesaid, and made Oath that the consideration set forth in the said Bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth J.
