Burke and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration
money in the within bill of sale (mentioned has been bona fida Paid

and affidavit was made and who has thereto subscribed his
name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland
in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn
                   In Testimony whereof, I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of Baltimore
(Seal)          County Court this 13.th day of April A. D. 1848

Ann E. Burke

Know all men by these Presents That I Rhetillah Burke
of Anne Arundel County and state of Maryland for and in
consideration of the sum of One dollar lawful money of the
United States in hand paid by Ann E Burke of the County
and state aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby Acknowledged   Have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Ann E. Burke her Executors
Administrators and assigns
One Negro Boy named George Washington aged thirty four years to serve until
he shall have arrived to the age of Forty four years and then to go free and
One negro boy named Joshua aged Ten years on fifteenth of June last to serve
until he shall have arrived to the age of thirty five years and then to go free also
One Negro Girl named Patta aged Eigh years the 20.th Nov.r 1848 and all her
increase to serve until she shall have arrived to the age of thirty five years
and then she be set free and the said Patta's increase each to serve until
they arrive to the age of Thirty five years and then to go free
To Have and To Hold the said described Negro Boys George Washington
and Joshua and Negro Girl Patta and all her increase to the said Ann
E. Burke her Executors Administrators and assigns and I the said Rhitillah
Burke for my self Heirs Executors and administrators, the said
Negro boys George and Joshua and Girl Patta and her increase unto the
said Ann E. Burke her Executors, administrators and assigns
