Agreement Between
James Iglehart &
Vachel Seiver
Articles of Agreement made and concluded this
Twenty Sixth day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty seven
between James Iglehart of the City of Annapolis of the
one part, and Vachel Sevier of the County of Anne
Arundel State of Maryland of the other part
Witnesseth    That whereas the said James Iglehart
hath sold to the said Vachel Sevier at and for the sum of Three thousand
dollars the farm hereinafter described and hath delivered to him
the possession thereof the said James hath agreed and doth hereby covenant
and agree that when the said Vachel Sevier his heirs or assigns shall pay
to the said James Iglehart his heirs or assigns the said sum of three thousand
dollars current money with interest thereon from the first day of November Eighteen
hundred and forty seven in the manner and at the times hereinafter
expressed the said James Iglehart shall then at the request of the said
Vachel his heirs or assigns make and execute to the said Vachel his
heirs and assigns and deliver to him or them a good and sufficient Deed of
conveyance, at his or their expense of the Farm which was conveyed to the
said Iglehart by Alexander Randall Trustee by Deed bearing date the thirteenth
day of November Eighteen hundred and forty seven being the same land
upon which the said Vachel Seiver now resides called and know as part
of Griffiths Land Resurveyed" lying on the North side of South River in Anne
Arundel County and supposed to contain about three hundred and three acres
of land more or less      And the said James Iglehart doth hereby further
covenant and agree that he will permit and suffer the said Vachel Sevier
his heirs and assigns peacably and quetly to receive and take to his and
their own use the rents and profits of the premises and of every part thereof
until default in the payment of any instalment of purchase money
or interest as herein provided for shall be made without any let, suit, molestation
disturbance or denial of him the said Iglehart his heirs Executors
Administrators or assigns or of any other person claiming under him or
them   And the said Vachel Seiver for his part hereof for himself his heirs
Executors Administrators and assigns doth hereby covenant, promise
and agree to and with the said James Iglehart his heirs Executors
Administrators and assigns, that he the said Vachel Sevier his heirs,
Executors or administrators, or some one of them, shall and will, well
