112 Nichols of Anne Arundel County Maryland widow for and in consideration of a debt of three hundred and thirty five dollars $335 due and owing by me to Henry Maynadier Esq.r of Anne Arundel County Maryland and to secure the payment of which I have of this date executed a mortgage of various personal estate as by reference thereto will more particularly appear and to reduce the amount of said mortgage debt by the sale of the property hereinafter mentioned the amount of wh whom sold is to be credited in said mortgage debt and for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money to me in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & sold and by these presents have granted bargained and sell to the said Henry Maynadier his Executors administrators and assigns my crop of Tobacco now in the House in the farm occupied by me supposed to contain about five thousand eight or whatsoever the same may be and also three hogsheads of Tobacco now in the hands of Richd Battee my commission Merchant in Baltimore. To Have and to hold all and singular the said tobacco above bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said Henry Maynadier his Executors Administrators and assigns forever. And I hereby declare that said tobacco has been delivered to the said Henry Maynadier the tobacco now in the house on the farm to be prepared & packed for market by me in a reasonable time & if not done by me in reasonable time to be prepared for market by said Henry Maynadier at my expense and when finished to be sold at at the discretion of said Henry Maynadier & the nett proceeds as herein before dated to be credited on said mortgage debt In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my seal this 17.th day January eighteen hundred & forty six Signed sealed & delivered in Caroline Nichols (seal) presence of W.m Glover Eliza Maynadier On the back of the foregoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sct Be it remembered that on this 17.th day of June eighteen hundred and forty six Caroline Nichols party grantor in the within deed or instrument of writing and know to me personally to be the identical person therein named as such personally appeared before me the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for Anne Arundel County and acknowledged the same to be her act & deed and the property therein bargained sold & conveyed to be the right |
