364 at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said George Benjamin Sen his Executors administrators and assigns five tons of hay about six hoghead of Tobacco now being upon the house one one hundred and fifty bushels of Corn and Crop of fodder all of wich property above described is now in possession of the said John L Benjamin To have and To hold the said described property above bargained and sold to the said George Benjamin sen his Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said John L Benjamin for myself my heirs Executors and administrators the five tons of hay six hogsheads one hundred and fifty bush Corn on crop of fodder unto the said George Benjamin sen his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said John L Benjamin my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said John L Benjamin hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first Signed and delivered in presence of John L Benjamin (seal) S Gambrill G W Camden At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this thirtieth day of October Eighteen hundred and forty four before me a Justis of the peace in and for said county personally appears John L Benjamin and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided S Gambrill 5½ 75 Recorded the 30th day of October 1844 Whereas I Howard M Duvall of Anne Arundel County in the State of maryland stand indebted to the President Directors and Company of the Farmers Bank of maryland in the sum of six hundred dollars current money on a seal drawn my me and endorsed by Robert Welsh of Ben and Washington G Tuck bearing date 12 of October 1844 And whereas for the purpose of securing the payment of the said money to the said President Directors and Company of said Bank I am willing and do execute these presents Now Know all men by these presents and I Howard M Duvall for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of five dollars to me in hand paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said President Directors and Company of the Farmers Bank of maryland my entire Crop of Tobacco hanging in the house To have and To hold the same |
