and her two children William and Robert one negro woman called Julia about
twenty five years of age and one negro woman named Sophia about nineteen years
of age  To have and To hold all the sid property unto the said Augustus J Bowee his
Executors administrators and assigns to be his and their use and behoof  Provided
always that if the said Thomas Hamilton Bowee doth and shall well and truly
pay to the said Augustus J Bowee unto his Executors administrators or assigns
the aforesaid sum of money with interest thereon for me the twenty first of September
Eighteen hundred and forty four on or before the twenty first day of September
Eighteen hundred and forty five then and in that case these presents and every
matter and thing herein contained shall be void and of no effect  And provided
always that until default be made in the payment of the said sum of money and
interest as aforesaid it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Thomas
Hamilton Bowee his Executors administrators or assigns to hold and to enjoy
the aforesaid property without any disturbance clause or discount from or by the
said Augustus J Bowee or any person or persons claiming by or from him
In Witness whereof the said party of the first has hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal the day and year first herein before mentioned
Signed Sealed and delivered in the            Hamilton Bowee   (seal)
presence of      J W Hunter

          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sct  Be it remembered That on this
24 day of October Eighteen hundred and forty four before the subscriber a Justice
of the peace for said County appears Thomas Hamilton Bowee and acknowledges
the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent
and meaning thereof            Acknowledged before         J W Hunter

95      Recorded the 24 day of October 1844


    This Indenture made this thirtieth day of October Eighteen hundred and
forty four Between John L Benjamin of Anne Arundel County and State of
maryland of the one part and George Benjamin Sen of Cecil County State of
aforesaid of the other part  Whereas the said Julia L Benjamin owes and stands
justly indebted to the said George Benjamin Sen in the sum of four hundred
dollars Current money  And whereas the said John L Benjamin in order to secure
the payment of the said sum of four hundred dollars Current money unto the
and George Benjamin Sen together with legal interest on the same is willing
to execute these presents  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said John
L Benjamin for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of one
dollar current money to him in hand paid by the said George Benjamin Sen
