          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit   On this 19 day of october
Eighteen hundred and forty four personally appeared John Miller before the
subscriber  Justice of the peace of the State of maryland in and for Anne
Arundel County aforesaid and acknowledged the foregoing deed or instrument
of writing to be his act and deed and for the purposes therein mentioned according
to the purport true intent and meaning thereof and this Act of Assembly in and
case made and provided                              J W Hunter

90      Recorded the 24th day of October 1844


       This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of October in the year
Eighteen hundred and forty four Between Thomas Hamilton Bowee of Anne
Arundel County of the one part and Augustus J Bowee of the City of
Baltimore of the other part  Whereas the said Augustus J Bowee has
delivered to the said Thomas Hamilton Bowee the sum of Eleven hundred
and forty dollars of which said seven hundred and sixty six dollars and
seventy one Cents as to be applied to the payment of the Condition of the
said Thomas Hamilton Bowee who [illegible] Judgments against
him in Anne Arundel County Court which Judgments are to be in [illegible] for
the receipt whereof Augustus J Bowee the further to secure the payment
of the aforesaid sum of money with the interest that may more thereon
[illegible] purpose of the said Thomas Hamilton
Bowee to secure the aforesaid and aforegoing in the interest that may accrue
therein from the twenty first of September Eighteen hundred and forty four  Now
this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Hamilton Bowee for and
in consideration of the premises hereof before the sum of five dollars Current
money to him in hand paid by the said Augustus J Bowee at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain
and sell unto the said Augustus J Bowee  his Executors administrators
and assigns all the following property to wit one negro man called James
five feet two inches high aged thirty five & one negro man called George about
six feet high twenty four years of age one negro woman called Anne
about forty years of age together with his [illegible] Joseph
[illegible] one mulatto woman called Rebecca aged twenty eight years
