291 furniture and farming utensils of every description which was by deed bearing date the twenty second day of march Eighteen hundred and forty one conveyed to the said Benjamin Watkins of Ben by one Nicholas Knighton of Prince Georges County as by said deed on record in the last aforesaid county will more fully and at large appear To have and To hold all the aforesaid personal property and the increase thereof to the said Samuel Augustus Clagett and Charles Clagett and to the survivor of them and to the Executors and administrators of such survivor In trust nevertheless for the sole and separate use of Eleanor Knighton wife of the said Nicholas Knighton for and during her natural life and thereafter in trust for the use of the said Nicholas Knighton for and during his natural life and after the death of the said Eleanor and Nicholas in trust to divide the same agreeably share and share alike among the Common Children of the said Nicholas and Eleanor then living and the representatives of such of them as may be dead such representatives taking the share or shares severally of their parent or parents respectively and to and for no other use or purpose whatsoever In Testimony whereof the said Benjamin Watkins of Ben hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first herein mentioned Signed Sealed and delivered in Benjamin Watkins of Ben (seal) presence of R C Hardesty At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County sc Be it remembered That on this twentieth day of October in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland aforesaid in and for the county aforesaid personally appears Benjamin Watkins of Ben of the County of Anne Arundel aforesaid and acknowledges the above deed or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the personal Estate therein described to be the property and Estate of the said Samuel Augustus Clagett and Charles Clagett and the survivor of them in trust as is therein stated chd Acknowledged before and Certified by R C Hardesty 73 5½ Recorded the 2d day of November 1843 Know all men by these presents that I John L Benjamin of Anne Arundel County maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Adam T Allen of same County at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said John L Benjamin do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Adam T Allen his Executors administrators and (assigns) |
