       Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Richter & Frederick Richter of
Baltimore State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred
dollars Current money to us in hand paid by Charles S Hammond of Frederick
County State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the
receipt whereof on the said Thomas & Frederick do hereby acknowledge have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said
Charles S Hammond his Executors administrators & assigns all the goods chattels
implements household stuff & furniture herein after mentioned that is to say four
cowls seven miles one stallion one back shoots tail horse & buggy waggons one
cutting viz together with all the gears harness & stove fixtures & furniture generally
all & singular which said goods & chattels ^&c^ are now remaining & being upon a
certain messuage or tenement in Anne Arundel County Maryland which said
messuage & land belongs to & is possessed by the said Charles S Hammond  To have
& To hold all and singular the said goods & chattels implements & other the premises
above bargained & sold or mentioned & intended so to be to the said Charles S
Hammond his Executors administrators & assigns against us the said Thomas
Richter & Frederick Richter our Executors & administrators & against all & every
other person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & forever defend by these
presents of all & singular which said goods & chattels implements household stuff
& furniture mules horses Carts & gears waggons & harness & other the premises we the
said Thomas & Frederick Richter have put the said Charles S Hammond in full
possession by delivering to him one table spoon at the sealing & delivering of these
presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned
& intended to be unto him the said Charles S Hammond as aforesaid  In Testimony
whereof we the said Thomas & Frederick have hereunto set our hands and
seals this twenty Eighth day of November Eighteen hundred and forty two

         At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of maryland sc   Baltimore City to wit  Be it remembered That on this
28 day of November 1842 personally appears before me the a Justice of the peace
for said City Thomas Richter & Frederick Richter and acknowledges the above
instrument of writing to be their act & deed according to the true intent & meaning
thereof                  Acknowledged before               William Steuart

       State of maryland Baltimore County sc  I hereby certify that William
Steuart gentleman before who the above acknowledgments were made & who
has thereto signed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the peace
