State of Maryland Anne Arundel Ct to wit  On this 8 day of February in the year
of our Lord 1842 came before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for
the State and County aforesaid Thomas B Crandle and acknowledged the above
Instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the property therein named to be the
Right and Estate of the therein named John Henry Urquhart upon the proviso contained
therein according to the true Intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly
in such cases made and provided  As Witness my hand and seal this 8 day of

    Know all men by these Presents that I Frederick Rickter of Anne Arundel
County in the state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred
dollars Lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid by Samuel Ellicott Junior
of the City and County of Baltimore and state of maryland aforesaid at and before
the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Frederick
Rickter do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Ellicott Junior his
Executors administrators and assigns all and singular the goods household stuff
implements and furniture of every nature and description whatsoever at this time
in and about the House called and known by the name of Halfway House in Anne
Arundel County and state aforesaid on the Road leading from the City of Baltimore
in Baltimore County to the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County aforesaid
now in the occupancy of me the said Frederick Rickter  To Have and To hold
all and singular the said goods Household Stuff implements and furniture and other
premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said
Samuel Ellicott Junior his Executors administrators and assigns to the proper use and
behoof of the said Samuel Ellicott Junior his Executors administrators and assigns
forever  And I the said Frederick Rickter for myself my heirs Executors and
administrators all and singular the said goods household stuff implements
and furniture and other the premises unto the said Samuel Ellicott Junior his
Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Frederick Rickter my
executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever claiming by from or under me shall and will warrant and forever
defend by these presents  In Witness whereof I the said Frederick Rickter have
hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal on this Third day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty two
