foregoing Instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the
true Intent and meaning thereof  And the act of assembly in such a
Case as made and provided  Taken & acknowledged before

Know all men by these presents that I Beale Gaither of Anne Arundel
County and state of maryland that for and in consideration of the
Sum of three hundred dollars in hand paid by Susanna Gaither Ellenor
Gaither and Massey Ann Gaither of the County and state aforesaid at or
before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the
said Beale Gaither doth hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said
Susanna Gaither Ellenor Gaither and Massey Ann Gaither their heirs
Executors administrators and assigns one negro man named Sippia Jones
one Gray Gelding one Black or Brown mare three Cows and Calves two
heifers two Carts two plows and all being in my possession  To have and
To hold the said described property to the said Susanna Gaither Ellenor
Gaither and Massey Ann Gaither their Executors administrators and
assigns for ever and I the said Beale Gaither for myself my heirs Executors
administrators the aforesaid property to the said Susanna Gaither
Ellenor Gaither and Massey Ann Gaither their Executors administrators
and Signs against me the said Beale Gaither my Executors and
administrators and against all and every other person or persons
whomsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these
presents in witness whereof I the said Beale Gaither have
hereunto set my and affixed my seal this twenty fourth day of
October one thousand Eight hundred and forty
Signed sealed and delivered in the
       presents of                              Beale Gaither   (seal)

       On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  On this twenty fourth
day of October one thousand Eight hundred and forty before me the subscriber
one of the Justices of the peace for said state in and for said County appears Beale Gaither
And acknowledges the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the
aforesaid property to be the property of Susanna Gaither Ellenor Gaither and Massey
Ann Gaither      Witness my hand      Wm Shipley
