indebted to John Glenn of Baltimore City in the state aforesaid in the Sum of Thirteen hundred & twenty Six dollars & fifty cents $1326 (50/100 with interest from the twenty second day of June 1859 for personal property purchased from him on the 22d of June 1859 at public sale on the farm of Howard County lately sold by said Glenn to Edwd Lloyd & John S Gittings Trustees for said E L. Key said property consisting of mules wagons Harness cattle, Farming utensils &c & being further indebted to the said Glenn in the sum of one hundred & fifteen dollars & fifty ^four^ cents $115 (54/100) with interest from the thirteenth day of March 1860 for servants wages & for a portion of crops belonging to said Glenn retained by said Francis S & E L Key & being unable to pay said amounts now fully due as agreed upon in consideration thereof do hereby bargain & sell to said Glenn all the crop of wheat now upon the farm aforesaid provided such crop shall not exceed Four hundred (400) Bushels & in case such crop should exceed four hundred Bushels then only such portion as shall be necessary to complete the amount of Four hundred Bushels above mentioned to be all of good quality & to be delevered clean & in good order in bags in the City of Baltimore on or before the thirty first day of August 1860 Provided that if the Sums above mentioned be paid by the said F S. Key & E L Key to the said John Glenn with interest thereon to the date of payment on or before the thirty first day of August 1860 then these presents shall be void And provided that in default of delivery of said Wheat on or before the thirty first day of Augt 1860 the said Glenn may take & recover possession of & remove said crop of Wheat & the same sell & dispose of at public sale on such terms & times as he may deem proper after first giving a notice of such sale of at least fifteen days in one or more public newspapers for the purpose of the payment of such portion of the debts aforesaid as the wheat above mentioned shall amount to with all costs & customary |
