these presents shall be void   But if default should be made
by him in the payment of any one of said drafts as aforesaid
or in the said keeping insured.  The said William Woodward
and William H. Baldwin shall and may sell said property
and after paying the expenses of such sale shall and may pay
all such sums as may be unpaid on said drafts whether due
or not and such premiums of insurance as they may have paid
for insurance on said miles and the balance shall pay over
to said James Sykes         Item this mortgage is in addition
to two other mortgages executed by said James Sykes to said Woodward
and Baldwin and is not for any debt or consideration
mentioned in either of them               In testimony whereof
the said James Sykes hath hereto set his hand and seal on the
day and year first above written

State of Maryland Howard County Sct
       On this tenth day of June 1856 before the subscriber a
Justice of the Peace for said County personally appeared James
Sykes and acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing
to be his act and deed

State of Maryland Baltimore City
          On this thirteenth day of June 1856 before the subscriber
a Justice of the Peace for said City.  William Woodward and
William H Baldwin Junior made oath that the consideration
set forth in the above instrument of writing is true an bona fide
as therein set forth

                I hereby certify that William H. Hayward Esquire
before whom the annexed affidavit was made and who has thereto
subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of
the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the City of
Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn
    (Seals)      In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand
    (Place)      and affix the seal of the Superior Court of
Baltimore City this 13.th day of June A. D. 1856
