Joseph Mobray &             Be it remembered that the following Bill
W.m H. Charles               of Sale was recorded on the 23.d day of May 1849.
Ex.d       from      82½      Know all men by these presents that I,
Ignatius B. Newton           Ignatius B. Newton of Dorchester County in the
                                        State of Maryland, for and in consideration of
the sum of sixty seven dollars, current money, to me in hand paid by
Joseph Mobray & William H. Charles, of the firm of Charles & Mobray,
in the said state, said Charles in Caroline & Mobray of Dorchester
County, or the firm transacting business in Caroline County, at & before
the sealing & delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof I, the said
Ignatius B. Newton, do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained
and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell, unto the said
Charles & Mobray, their Executors, Administrators & assigns, all the
goods, that is to say, four Beds, Bedsteads & furniture, one Safe,
one Bureau, two Chests, two Tables, one Candle stand, Eleven stool
or windsor Chairs, one set silver Tea Spoons, one set Table silver
spoons, together with the Cupboard & Kitchen furniture, one new
Ox Cart, one pair Carriage wheels &C, one Sow & five Shoats &
two Hogs; all and singular which said goods & Chattels are
now remaining standing & being in a certain Messuage, the
residue of Ignatius B. Newton at present, situate in Dorchester
County, and now in the occupation of the said Ignatius B. Newton.
To have and to hold all & singular the said goods, household stuff
and furniture, and other the premises above bargained and sold,
or mentioned & intended so to be, to the said Charles & Mobray, their
Executors, Administrators & assigns forever      And I, the said
Ignatius B. Newton, for myself, my heirs, executors & Administrators,
all & singular the said goods as above described, & others the premises,
unto the said Charles & Mobray, their Executors, Administrators
& Assigns, against me the said Ignatius B. Newton, my Executors
& administrators, and against me the said Ignatius B. Newton, my Executors
& administrators, and against all & every other person or persons
whatsoever, shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents;
of all & singular which said goods, household stuff & other
Articles, and other the premises, I, the said Ignatius B. Newton,
have put the said Charles & Mobray in full possession, by
delivering to them, the said Charles & Mobray, one set Table
spoons at the sealing & delivering of these presents, in the
name of the whole Premises hereby bargained & sold, or mentioned
and intended to be so, unto them the said Charles & Mobray
as aforesaid.  In Witness whereof I, the subscriber, hath set my
hand & seal this 23d day of May A. D. 1849.
