56 Tho J. H. Eccleston Be it remembered that the following bill Ex.d from of sale was recorded on 26th Jany 1843 to wit Wesley Phillips Know all men by these presents that I Wesley Phillips of Dorchester county Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars current money to me in hand paid by Thomas J H Eccleston of the same county & state at & before the sealing & delivering hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained & sold & by these do grant bargain & sell unto the sd Thomas J.H. Eccleston his heirs and assigns the following property viz one horse & cart three mares two colts one yoke of oxen & cart sixteen head of cattle old & young nineteen head of sheep forty head of swine (sows shoats & pigs) thirty two bushells of wheat seeded on the ground sixty barrels of corn forty bushells of oats twelve hundred weight of pork six thousand weight of blades all my house & Kitchen furniture all my farming implements viz poughs & harness harrows hoes & spades all the coarse provender now in hand and one man servant hired for the current year of the sd Eccleston all which property is now in my possession To have and to hold to the sd Thos J.H. Eccleston his heirs and assigns forever and for his and their only proper use and benifit and I the said Wesley Phillips for myself my heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents to the sd Eccleston his heirs and assigns all the sd property above described against me my heirs and assigns and agst every other person claiming the same or any part or portion thereof In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 17th day of January 1843 Signed sealed and delivered in pressence of his Leah E. Eccleston Maryland Dorchester County to wit On this 17th day of January 1843 before me one of the Justices of the peace on and for sd County appears Wesley Phillips and acknowledged the within or foregoing writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided Before me Richard Pattison |
