by Oliver P. Hooper of the County aforesaid in the said State at and before
the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Elisha
Phillips do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and
by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Oliver P.
Hooper, his Executors, administrators and assigns all the goods and
Chattels as follows, Viz Three Beds, bedsteads & furniture, one large
Chest, one Mantle Clock, two Walnut Tables, half doz Chairs, one
Ox Cart, 5 yearlings, three Cows, one Mare and Colt, Ten barrels of
Corn, one Cross Cut saw, two Stacks Blades, one Stack tops, one
scythe and cradle, two hundred pounds Pork and one small Gun
all and singular which goods & chattels are now remaining standing
in the possession of the said Phillips   To have and to hold all &
singular the said goods, household stuff and furniture above bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Oliver P. Hooper
his Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever   And I the said
Elisha Phillips for myself, my heirs, Executors & administrators
all and singular the said goods, house hold stuff & furniture unto
the said Oliver P. Hooper, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns
against me the said Elisha Phillips my Executors and Administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and
will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all & singular
which said goods, house hold stuff and furniture and other the
premises.  I the said Elisha Phillips have put the said Oliver P.
Hooper in full possession by delivering to him the said Oliver P.
Hooper one Mare at the sealing and delivery of these presents in
and intended to be so unto him the said Oliver P. Hooper as aforesaid
In Witness whereof the said Elisha Phillips hath hereunto subscribed his
name and affixed his seal this 6 day of February A. D. 1847.

                   State of Maryland Dorchester County, to wit:  Be it remembered that on
this 6.th day of February in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven personally
appears Elisha Phillips party grantor mentioned in the within instrument of writing before
me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County and State aforesaid and Acknowledges
the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the goods & chattels
therein mentioned and thereby bargained and sold to be the right & estate of the said
Oliver P. Hooper also therein mentioned his heirs and assigns forever according to
the purport true intent and meaning of the said instrument of writing and
the Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided.
