414. Oliver P. Hooper Be it remembered that the following Bill of sale Ex.d from was recorded on the 15.th day of February 1847. George Walton Know all men by these presents that I George Walton of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars current money in hand paid by Oliver P. Hooper of the County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said George Walton do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Oliver P. Hooper, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns all the goods, household stuff, implements and furniture hereinafter particularly mentioned that is to say Three Beds, bedsteads and furniture, one stove, one pine Table, one Pot & oven, six decanters, one dozen Tumblers, seventy five gallons Brandy, Eight hundred pounds Blade fodder, three Tubs, two Water Buckets, one Bureau, one Cupboard, one set tea ware and one set knives & forks and one Bay Horse To have and to hold all and singular the said goods, household & furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Oliver P. Hooper his Executors administrators and assigns forever And I George Walton for myself, my heirs, Executors and Administrators all and singular the goods, household stuff and furniture and other the premises unto the said Oliver P. Hooper, his Executors, administrators and Assigns against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said goods, household stuff and furniture and other premises I the said George Walton have put the said Oliver P. Hooper in full possession by delivering to him the said Oliver P. Hooper one Bay Horse at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and intended to be unto him the said Oliver P. Hooper as aforesaid. In Witness whereof the said George Walton hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the 11.th day of February A. D. 1847. Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence George Walton (Seal) of John B. Leckie State of Maryland Dorchester County, To wit: Be it remembered that on the 11.th day of January A. D. 1847 personally appeared George Walton party grantor mentioned in the within instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledges the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the goods, household stuff and furniture & other premises |
