one dinner pot, one Spider, five Tubs, cupboard ware, plates,
dishes, knives & forks, cups & saucers, Two Hogs in stye and
Eleven Geese      To have and to hold all and singular the
said Goods, House hold stuff and furniture and other the premises
above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended
so to be to the said Oliver P. Hooper, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns forever   And I the said Washington Hastings,
for Myself, my heirs, executors and Administrators all
and singular the said Goods, House hold stuff and furniture
and other the premises unto the said Oliver P. Hooper
his Executors, Administrators and Assigns against me
the said                           my Executors, Administrators and
against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall
and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all
and singular which said goods, house hold stuff & furniture,
and other the premises I the said Washington Hastings have
put the said Oliver P. Hooper all the aforesaid property at
the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the
whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned and
intended to be so unto him the said Oliver P. Hooper
as aforesaid.   In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this twentieth day of August Eighteen
hundred and forty six.

State of Maryland Dorchester County, To wit:   Be it remembered that
on this 20.th day of August in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred
and forty six personally appears Washington Hastings
the party grantor within named before ^me^ the subscriber a Justice
of the Peace for the County and State aforesaid and acknowledges
the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed
and that the Goods, Household Stuff and furniture therein mentioned
and thereby bargained and sold to be the right & Estate of
the within named Oliver P. Hooper party grantee also therein named
his heirs and assigns forever according to the purport, true intent
and meaning of the said instrument of writing and the Acts of
Assembly in such Cases made and provided.   Taken and
Certified the day and year above written
