376 Forty dollars current money together with interest for the same after the rate aforesaid at such times and after such manner and herein before set forty ang agreed for the payment thereof And the said Foster Sewers, his Executors and Administrators all & singular the goods, Stock, Farming Utensils and House hold stuff by these presents granted, bargained and sold and every part thereof unto the said Thomas K. Smith, his Executors, Administrators or Assigns and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these presents. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my and affixed my seal the day and year first above written his Witness Foster x Sewers (Seal) Nimrod Newton mark State of Maryland Dorchester Sct. Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this twentieth day of July in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County personally appears Foster Sewers he being Known to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a party to the foregoing Indenture and acknowledge the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be his Act and deed. In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day & year aforesaid Nimrod Newton James A. Stewart & Be it remembered that the following Mortgage Levin Mowbray Bill of Sale was recorded on the Ex.d from 12.th day of August 1846, To wit: W.m P. Pennington State of Maryland Stamp Know all men by these presents that I W.m 75 P. Penington for and in consideration of the Cents sum of seven hundred dollars to me in hand paid by James A. Stewart and Levin Mowbray ^have bargained & sold to the said James A Stewart and Levin Mobray^ their heirs, Exrs Admrs and Assigns the following personal property now in my possession, To wit: My crop of wheat now gathered, Stored, the Crop of Corn now growing, Four head of Horses, seven head of Cattle, forty four head of Hogs, five head of Sheep, one Waggon & Gear, one Ox Cart, one Horse Cart, one Four wheel Carriage, 3 ploughs, 3 Harrows together with their gears, five Beds, Bedsteads and furniture, one Bureau, two Tables, one doz Chairs & all his other Household and kitchen furniture, farming Utensils, two Duck Guns, one Canoe, one Negro Girl named Caroline to be free of Eighteen years of age together with all personal property now |
