26 signed sealed and his delivered in the pressence of William + Collins HW Hicks State of maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it remembered that on this third day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three personally appears William Collins the party granted within named before the subscriber a justice in and for the county and state aforesaid and acknowledge the within Bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the goods and chattels and property and other the premises therein mentioned and thereby bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within named WVM Edmondson party granted also therein named his heirs and assigns forever according to the purport true intent and meaning of the said Bill of sale or instrument of writing and the act of assembly in such case made and provided Taken and certified the day and year first above written William Newton WVM Edmondson Be it remembered that the following Bill of Ex.d from Sale was recorded on the 9 January anno domini Elijah Brinsfield 1843 to wit Know all men by these presents that I Elijah Brinsfield of Dorchester County State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and Eight dollars and four ^cents^ current money of maryland to me in hand paid by WVM Edmondson of the county and state aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Elijah Brinsfield doth hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said W.V.M. Edmondson his executors administrators and assigns all the property in the schedule hereunto annexed that is to say To Cows one yoke one ox cart one Cubbain Two Heifers one calf, Six head Hogs, Two Sheep one Gig and harness one bay mare Three Beds Beadsteads House lot corn caps two stacks Blades One hundred & seventy bushells corn fifty bushells oats, Six hundred Pounds Pork forty cords oak Wood all and singular which said property and other the premises are now remaining in a certain mortgage or tenament in this county and State aforesaid at present in the occupancy of the said Elijah Brinsfield except the forty cords of oak Wood which is on the road |
