near crotchers ferry  To have and to hold all and singular the said
property and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned
or intended so to be unto the said WVM Edmondson his executors
administrators and assigns forever  And I the said Elijah Brinsfield
for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular
the said property and other the premises unto the said WVM
Edmondson his executors administrators and assigns against
me the said Elijah Binsfield my executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents of all and singular which said property
and other the premises I the said Elijah Brinsfield have paid
the said WVM Edmondson in full possession by delivering to him
the said W.V.M. Edmondson one Bay mare at the sealing and delivering
of these presents in the name of the whole property and premises
hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be
unto him the said WVM Edmondson as aforesaid In witness
whereof I have hereuunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
fourth day of January 1843

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit      Be it remembered
that on this fourth day of January in the year of our
Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty three personally
appears Elijah Brinsfield the party grantor within named
before me the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county
and State aforesaid acknowledges the within Bill of sale or
instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the property
and other the premises therein mentioned and thereby bargained
and sold to the right and property of the within named
WVM Edmondson the party granted also therein named his
heirs and assigns forever according to the purport true intent
and meaning of the said Bill of Sale or instrument and
the act of assembly in such case made and and provided
Taken and Certified the day and year above written
