furniture particularly mentioned, expressed and described as follows, Viz.
two Beds, Bedsteads and furniture, one Walnut Table, one Cupboard &
Contents, two pair And Irons, two Iron pots, 1 Spider, 1 Tea kettle, one Oven,
one still & fixtures, cider mill and Casks, 2 ploughs, 2 Harrows, one Ox
Cart, 1 Wheat Fan, half the Crop of wheat and Oats, half the Crop of Corn
growing or standing & gathered, 1 Bay mare, one Bay Colt, one yoke of Oxen,
one black Stear, two Cows, one red Heifer, eight head of Hogs the above
described property being the same property sold as the property of Joseph
Carroll by distress for rent on the 5.th day of July 1844 and purchased by
me the said Lewis Ross and all and singular which said goods & chattels
are now remaining, standing and being in a certain Messuage or tenement
situate on Cabbin Creek and now in the occupancy of the said Joseph
Carroll, To have and to hold all and singular the goods, household stuff
and furniture, Stock, crops &c and other the premises above bargained & sold
or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Thomas H. Hicks his executors,
administrators and assigns forever:  And I the said Lewis Ross for myself
my heirs, executors and administrators all and singular the said goods, house
hold stuff and furniture, Stock, grain &C and other the premises unto the
said Thomas H. Hicks his executors, administrators and Assigns against
me the said Lewis Ross my executors and administrators and against all
and every other person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim under him
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and
singular which said goods, house hold stuff & furniture, Stock, grain &C
and other the premises I the said Lewis Ross have put the said Thomas H.
Hicks in full possession by delivering to him the same at the sealing and
delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said Thomas
H. Hicks as aforesaid.  In Witness whereof I the said Lewis Ross have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 13.th day of November 1844.

Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this 13.th day of
November in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
forty four before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for
County and state aforesaid personally appears Lewis Ross party to
the foregoing Bill of Sale and instrument of writing and doth acknowledge
the said Indenture or instrument of writing to be his act and
deed and delivered the same for the purposes therein mentioned according
to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of Assembly
in such case made and provided
