Dorchester County State of Maryland ss.t   I hereby Certify that I have carefully
surveyed for and in the names of Anthony C. Thompson, John R. Keene, Thomas
Wingate, John R. Creighton and Levin Mowbray Esq.r they being commissioners
for the Primary School district number seven or Cambridge district and for and
in the names of their successors in office forever a tract or lot of land adjoining
the Airey's meeting House lot on its northern side and for the establishment of a
primary school thereon:  Beginning for the out bounds of the aforesaid lot or parcel
of land at or near the North West Corner of the aforesaid Airey's meeting House lot &
thence runing with the said lot North Seventy Six degrees thirty minutes East four
perches thence North fifteen degrees West three perches thence South seventy six degrees
and thirty minutes West four perches then a straight line to the first begining
containing twelve Square perches of land more or less.  Given under my
had this twelveth day of June Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and
forty four                                                      Geo A. Z. Smith S. D. C.
scale one perch to an inch

Enclosed in the above plot and Certificate were the following papers, To wit:
1844  The Commissioners of the Primary Schools for Dorchester County
May                                                                        To George A. Z. Smith D.r
        To Journey fee & one days surveying                                                   $3. -
        To plot and Certificate for school house lot near Airey's meeting house   1.    
                                                                                                                   $4. -

July 22.d 1844  Rec.d pay.l in full of the above      Geo. A. Z. Smith.

We the undersigned being appointed to value the lot of ground laid off
for the use and purpose of the school house at Airey's meeting house do
value the same at the sum of four dollars.  Witness whereof we have
hereto set our hands this 9.th day of November 1844.

Thomas H. Hicks       Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
Ex.d      from             was recorded on the 14.th day of November 1844, To wit:
Lewis Ross               Know all men by these presents that I Lewis Ross of
                                 Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in
consideration of the sum of of one hundred and forty five dollars and twenty
seven cents current money to me in hand paid by Thomas H. Hicks of Dorchester
County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof I the said Lewis Ross do hereby Acknowledge,
have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Thomas H. Hicks his executors,
administrators and assigns all the goods, household stuff, implements &
